POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for private pay collections by phone calls to patients to request payment or set up payment arrangements. Statement Preview report is to be run weekly to ensure patients are receiving correct statements . Patient Term Accouts Report should be run weekly to ensure patients on payment terms are abiding by their terms and if not these patients are to be contacted. An average minimum of  30 calls per day to patients is required. When working reports, if a credit is found on a patients account and there is another account with a balance, the credit needs to be transferred from credit account to balance account. Once a month Estate and Probate accounts need to be reviewed by account detail and visit to the Clerk Of Court’s office for possible payment or adjustment of accounts  if no estate money available. Accept patient requests for Financial Assistance, explaining the the application process, completion of documentation will be sent to PFS Manager no later than the 25th of the month for review/adjustment. FA spread sheet, required for Controller’s month end documentation, to be completed as soon as adjustments are posted. Letters to patients notifying them of approval and amount or unapproved application to be sent to each applicant after adjustments are posted. Receive and respond to patient calls/messages in a timely manner. Other duties as assigned.


Education/Experience Requirements:

High School graduate, computer and business courses preferred.

Typing and computer experience preferred.

Ability to perform well under pressure; detail oriented and ability to communicate
