Dietary, Dietary Aid

POSITION SUMMARY:   Responsible for alternating cook/dietary aide positions including quantity food preparation following approved menus, standardized recipes, coordinates diet lists, tray cards, maintains records, operates dishwasher, pots/pans, other cleaning assignments, assists with catered events, accepts other responsibilities as assigned


Environmental Services Aid I (ESA I) completes discharge room cleaning as patients are released from hospital. Perform "7 Step" and “10Step Cleaning” procedure, in all patient care areas and public areas as assigned. Collects regular trash and /or biohazard trash as assigned. Answers pager calls as needed, and assists with assigned projects as required. The ESA I is on the front line of customer relations with patients, family members and visitors as they are working directly in the patient care areas. High school graduate is preferred; but not required. Institutional cleaning experience is preferred, able to work around people who are sick. Able to work according to schedules as needed. Must be able to bend, stretch, carry, pull walk, stand  and lift 50 lbs. and climb a ladder.

           

         Licensure/Certification Requirements: This is           not a requirement for ESA I staff. A certification           program can be offered by the ES manager.

Education/Experience Requirements:


  1. Education:  High school graduate preferred


  1. Experience:   One year experience preferably in hospital setting.
